Doom metal legends Sleep played their first of two nights at Brooklyn’s Pioneer Works on Friday night (7/14), as part of the large-scale Grand Ole Opera “performative exhibition.” The cavernous Red Hook warehouse space was packed to the gills, and what space wasn’t filled with people was taken up by the crush of Sleep’s riffs. Pictures from the night are in the gallery above, and a few videos are below.
Sleep play Pioneer Works again tonight which is sold out. Be on the lookout for a new song this summer via Adult Swim Singles Series, and Sleep’s first new album since Jerusalem/Dopesmoker is due sooner than later.
I went to Sleep last night. I plan to go to Sleep again tonight. Join me!
