Fuck Buttons’ Andrew Hung preps solo debut; Blanck Mass shares video from new LP, touring

While Fuck Buttons haven’t released a new record since 2013, both halves of the group are currently active. Blanck Mass, the solo project of Benjamin John Power, released new album World Eater via Sacred Bones back in March. He’s also got a brand new video for LP cut “The Rat,” which was shot at a fairground. “The video itself is a bit of fun and was filmed on a family vacation,” says Power. “But somehow I feel it represents discontent within a capitalist regime and a world full of sugar-coated shit.” You can check that out and stream the album in full below.

Power will be bringing Blanck Mass to the masses of North America beginning in September, including a show at Rough Trade on September 14. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday, July 21 at noon with an AmEx presale beginning Wednesday (7/19) at noon. All dates are listed below.

Meanwhile, the other half of Fuck Buttons, Andrew Hung, has announced his debut solo album, titled Realisationship, which comes out on October 6 via Lex. Unlike Blanck Mass, Hung’s music is much less visceral, and more on the minimal side in terms of electronics. [Poppier too – Ed.] You can stream new single “Say What You want,” and check out artwork and tracklist below, and pre-order the new album here.
